Serving God, Strengthening Families, Transforming Communities

Every act of service is a prayer in motion. Through our council’s committees and programs, we live out our Catholic faith—strengthening families, uplifting communities, and defending life with love and purpose. Whether you're new to the Knights of Columbus or a longtime member, there’s a place for your gifts here.

What We Do

Beyond our year-round volunteer efforts, our council organizes its mission-driven work into four key categories: Faith, Community, Family, and Life. Each category is led by a dedicated committee of Knights who plan and carry out meaningful programs. All members are welcome to participate—whether by joining a committee or lending a hand at events.

These programs include both Supreme Council–recommended initiatives and locally developed efforts that reflect the needs of our parish and community.

Strengthening Our Brotherhood in Christ

Our goal is to deepen the spiritual lives of our members and their families. When we entered the Order, we were reminded to continually form ourselves in the Catholic faith—not just through knowledge, but through a living relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Programs in this category help us grow closer to God and the Church in tangible ways—supporting seminarians, engaging in spiritual reflection, and honoring Mary, Mother of God. These efforts prepare us for the spiritual battles our families face daily and help us live as faithful disciples.

Charity in Action, Unity in Purpose

Charity is our first principle—whether at home or in the broader community. As Knights, we are called to serve with compassion and purpose. While individuals can do great things, councils united in service can transform communities and uplift lives.

Programs in this category address real needs—supporting local families, responding to crises, and building bridges of hope. Together, we make our neighborhoods stronger, more compassionate, and more connected.

Building the Domestic Church

These programs are created for families, by families. Inspired by Father McGivney’s vision, they aim to strengthen the sacred bond between parents and children. In a world that often challenges faith and unity, our programs help families live the domestic church and grow together in holiness.

We provide opportunities for Catholic families to pray, socialize, and serve together—creating intentional spaces where faith can flourish and relationships deepen.

Defending the Dignity of Every Human Life

The Knights of Columbus stands firmly for the dignity of every human life. Inspired by the words of St. John Paul II, we are called to defend life in all its stages and conditions.

Our programs support pregnant women, care for the elderly, empower those with special needs, and advocate for a culture of life rooted in love and justice. We work to build a civilization of love—one act of compassion at a time.

Anchored in Christ: The Cor Experience

Pink Poppy Flowers

Cor is a flexible framework of prayer, formation and fraternity that helps focus men on Jesus through building Christ-centered brotherhood.

In a world full of distractions, Cor reminds us we were made for relationship with God and one another. Jesus didn’t call men to follow him on their own. Instead, he formed a brotherhood of disciples, taught them the Truth and sent them out together to transform the world. At Cor, we continue that mission by walking side by side, supporting one another in our struggles and celebrating our victories in faith.

Cor is designed to help men intentionally and regularly come together to live out authentic brotherhood. It provides structured opportunities for prayer, formation and fraternity. These gatherings are not just about deepening our knowledge of faith — they’re about strengthening our bond as brothers and encouraging each other to live the life God has called us to.

Alongside brothers in Christ, men become better husbands, fathers and members of their communities.

Council Activities

The Knights of Columbus take pride in serving their parishes and communities—not just in word, but in action. Across councils nationwide, members unite to support others through meaningful events, outreach, and spiritual initiatives. Every activity is rooted in one of four guiding pillars:

FAITH • FAMILY • COMMUNITY • LIFE

Council #5207 is no exception. Each year, we host and participate in a wide range of activities that reflect our commitment to Christ and to one another. From prayerful gatherings to hands-on volunteerism, fundraising efforts to charitable donations, our work is a living expression of our values.

We maintain a core list of annual programs, but we also welcome new ideas from our members. If you feel called to serve in a way that aligns with our mission, we’re ready to support you.

Spiritual Reflection: Eucharistic Adoration

A Sacred Space for Prayer, Presence, and Peace

Our council joyfully supports and promotes the weekly Eucharistic Adoration experience—a time set apart to encounter Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Held in the Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel and occasionally in the Cathedral, this holy space offers a quiet refuge for individuals and families to pause, reflect, and pray.

Whether you're seeking spiritual renewal, discernment, or simply a moment of peace, Adoration invites us into deeper communion with Jesus—present, living, and loving in the Eucharist. It’s a powerful way to strengthen our faith, center our hearts, and intercede for others.

We encourage all members and parishioners to make time for this sacred practice. Come as you are. Leave renewed.

Vocation Support

Encouraging the Call, Strengthening the Journey

Our council is committed to nurturing vocations and supporting those who have answered God’s call to the priesthood. Through this program, we partner with parish families to raise funds that assist seminarians in our area—helping to ease the financial burdens of their formation.

But our support goes beyond donations. We offer encouragement, prayer, and fellowship to these future shepherds of the Church. By walking alongside them in faith, we help build a foundation of spiritual strength and community that will sustain their journey.

Together, as a council and parish, we affirm the sacred call to serve and ensure that no seminarian walks alone.

The Rosary

A Prayerful Tradition Honoring Mary, Our Patroness

The Rosary is more than a devotion—it’s a powerful way to draw closer to Christ through the intercession of His Blessed Mother. As Knights, we honor Mary, the patroness of our Order, by encouraging this sacred practice in our homes, our parish, and our council.

Each month, before our council meeting, we gather to pray the Rosary together. This time of reflection and unity strengthens our faith, deepens our fraternity, and reminds us of the importance of prayer—both in community and within the family.

We invite all members and parishioners to embrace the Rosary as a spiritual anchor in daily life. Through Mary’s guidance, we grow in holiness, humility, and love.

Sacramental Gifts

Honoring the Sacred Moments of Grace

The sacraments mark the most profound encounters with Christ in the life of the domestic church. From Baptism to Holy Matrimony, these sacred milestones shape our journey of faith and unite us more deeply with God and one another.

Our council is honored to walk alongside parish families during these holy moments—offering prayerful support, encouragement, and tangible gifts that reflect the love of Christ and the care of our community.

As part of this commitment and through the generosity of the community, Council #5207 was able to proudly fund the new Baptismal Font for the Cathedral—a lasting symbol of new life in Christ and our dedication to nurturing the faith of future generations.

Consecration to the Holy Family

Renewing Our Homes Through the Example of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph

The Knights of Columbus are helping to revitalize parish life by inviting families to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family—the perfect model of love, faith, and unity. In a world that often challenges the sanctity of family, this devotion offers a powerful way to center our homes on Christ.

Through prayer and reflection, families are encouraged to embrace the virtues of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph: obedience, humility, compassion, and unwavering trust in God. To support this journey, our council provides prayer cards for home devotion, and our parish priests offer homilies that deepen understanding and inspire commitment.

Consecration to the Holy Family is more than a moment—it’s a movement toward holiness in the heart of the domestic church.

Keep Christ in Christmas

Celebrating the True Meaning of the Season

We are committed to preserving the sacred heart of Christmas — centered on the birth of Christ and the joy of giving. Through faithful acts, creative expression, and community celebration, we seek to remind families, schools, and parishes of the true spirit of the season.

Council #5207 brings this mission to life through several annual traditions:

  • Poster Contest – Inviting elementary students to artistically express what “Keeping Christ in Christmas” means to them

  • Essay Contest – Encouraging middle school students to reflect on the spiritual significance of Christmas

  • Kid's Christmas Party – A joyful gathering for our families to celebrate together in faith and fellowship

These activities help children and families embrace the beauty of the Nativity, deepen their understanding of the season, and share the light of Christ with others.

Family of the Month & Year

Honoring Families Who Live Their Faith

Each month, our council recognizes a parish family that embodies Christian values—living with humility, devotion, and love. Their commitment to prayer, generosity, and unity strengthens the domestic church and inspires our community.

At year’s end, one family is chosen to represent our parish as a nominee for the international Family of the Year—a celebration of faith lived at home.

We honor these families not just for what they do, but for who they are: reflections of Christ’s love in everyday life.

Deepening Faith Through the Passion of Christ

The Knights of Columbus are committed to helping families enter more fully into the sacred mystery of the Triduum—especially Good Friday, the day we remember Christ’s ultimate sacrifice. Through this initiative, we seek to renew parish understanding and participation in this solemn and powerful moment of our faith.

By fostering deeper devotion and understanding, we help families walk with Christ—and with the Church—through His Passion, death, and resurrection.
