A Knights of Columbus (KofC) Corporate Communion is a special Mass where members of a council, together with their families and friends, gather to receive the Eucharist as one visible and unified community. This tradition is a living witness to the KofC principles of Unity and Fraternity, strengthening bonds within the Order and the parish.
What is the purpose and significance of this special mass?
Unity and Fraternity
Members join in prayer and worship, offering a powerful public sign of solidarity and brotherhood while supporting their parish.
Family Involvement
Families are encouraged to attend and sit together with council members, reflecting the Knights’ commitment to faith, family, and community.
Parish Support
Corporate Communions foster deeper relationships with Christ and strengthen ties between the Knights, their families, and the wider parish community.
Visibility
The Fourth Degree Color Corps often participates in regalia, adding dignity, formality, and a striking visual presence to the celebration.
The Knights of Columbus councils and Fourth Degree Assembly of Knoxville will unite for a special Corporate Communion Mass on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 8:05 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This Eucharistic celebration will be led by the Most Reverend Bishop Mark Beckman, offering a profound moment of prayer, unity, and fraternity for our community.
We warmly invite all Knights of Columbus members, their families, and friends to join us for this sacred gathering. Together, we will share in the Eucharist as a visible sign of our faith and solidarity.
Following the Mass, an optional breakfast buffet and fellowship gathering with Bishop Beckman and KofC families will be held in the Cathedral Hall.
