Council 5207 has taken on a beneficial project on behalf of our parish and cathedral. Our Brother Knight John F. Meyer has taken on the task of organizing the project. We have designed, and now have under production the modification pieces that will be added to the hymnal holders located on the backs of all the pews within the cathedral. This new component will help hold the offertory envelopes.
After the initial planning, John F. Meyer fabricated 304 white oak offertory envelope brackets. On the Saturday morning of January 23rd, Brother Knights Sam Arwood, Jay Coatney, PGK Tom Greer and GK Chris Manning stained these pieces with an original cherry stain to match the pews.
These new brackets will be installed within each pew hymnal shelf on Saturday 1/30/21 starting at 9:00 AM. All available Knights are welcome to come to the Cathedral and participate in this service opportunity.
